Oh, those green, green eyes of yours

The salt of me dissolves in them like the sea.
The leaves of them grace my limbs with their breeze.
Emeralds falter
jade and tourmalines
alter
my course not a hair
when my soul
is laid bare
in their grass-glinting sight.

Vines, sage, and tea
mantis eyes
clover leaves
the darting gleams of winged orchid bees
honeydew
mint
time-writ verdigris ...
what power have those
next to thee?

Ah, how I drown in your ocean.
