Thing Number One Hundred and Five

The one hundred and fifth thing I love about us is lounging about together on an idyllic weekend. Neither of us even works during the week, and yet the weekend is somehow still the most refreshing and carefree couple of days a week can offer up for us to share.

One Hundred Four

The one hundred and fourth thing I love about us is, being different people when we're playing roleplaying games together, but still being us! It's like, we both make up these characters, and the characters get to know each other, and even if they don't end up being crazy in love with each other, it reminds me of when I was getting to know you. So I kind of get to fall in love with you all over again every time we play a new game!

(I mean, unless one of us is the gamemaster and is trying to kill the other one of us.)

Thing Number One Hundred and Three

The one hundred and third thing I love about us is tidying up after you. Not that I'm saying you're some kind of catastrophic slob ... but you do slip now and again or forget something now and again, in the most adorable way. And the act of putting away the popcorn bowl or pushing the dresser-drawer that last inch closed makes me feel that I'm responsible for just a very small part of your perfection.

The hundred and second thing I love about us is how you make my chest feel like I'm humming all the time!

The hundred-and-first thing I love about us is feeling your long, golden hair whisper across my skin.

A Whole Hundred Things!

Wow! The one hundredth thing I love about us is that we could commit to this list and get all the way to 100!

(I also love that we'll get a lot farther than that ... although whew, does 350 ever sound like a lot!)

Thing Number Ninety-Nine

The ninety-ninth thing I love about us is dreaming of perfect places to be with you. A cozy cabin nestled in smooth white drifts of snow and warmed by mellow flames in its fireplace. A tropical beach with bright turquoise waters glinting at us in the sunshine. The moon -- Earth lounging jewel-like in the black sky above our crystal-clear dome tent.

And here, of course. I mean, wherever we are together, that's a perfect place too.

Ninety-Eight is Getting so Close to a Hundred!

The ninety-eighth thing I love about us is, I think I did some bad math a while back and you didn't point it out to me. It was something about you going out of order and how that meant I would get to do all the things that were eleven-timeses ones. Only eleven is an odd number, so if we switch off after every post, I'll always only do half of the elevensies numbers. Why didn't I realize that before?

I'm so bad at math.

But you're an awesome girlfriend for not making me feel bad at being bad at it.

Thing Number Ninety-Seven

The ninety-seventh thing I love about us is the way my senses become so much easier to please when you're near. Flowers smell sweeter. Sunshine falls more brightly and rain makes its hushing lullaby into melody and not just white noise. Sheets feel more satin. Fruit becomes nectarous upon my tongue.

All things suffuse my nerves and brain with the most perfect of sensations.

Ninety-Six for Some Reason Isn't Near as Naughty as Sixty-Nine

The ninety-sixth thing I love about us is, when we're together it's like everything is exponentially more beautifuller.

Our whole house and our lives are so full of beautiful things and people, you'd think it would be hard to make it more than a little bit more beautiful. But for some reason, holding your hand or sitting together with our shoulders touching ... it's like it multiplies all the beauty times itself and times itself again.

It's crazy.

The ninety-fifth thing I love about us is writing each other poems ... which this list has more or less sidelined, for some reason.

Ninety-Four on the LoveyDove Scale

The ninety-fourth thing I love about us is, I can just say whatever and if it doesn't make sense, you still respect me just as much after I say it as you did before. Also, usually you laugh when I do that.

It's really nice to know that even my goofy nonsense makes you love me!

Thing Number Ninety-Three

The ninety-third thing I love about us is what a charmed life we live. Not to be too vain about it, but I do believe I have a certain sharp-witted charm sometimes and a bit of soft and vulnerable charm when the moment hits me -- and of course, you're one of the most charming creatures ever to walk the face of the planet. And beyond us being charming is the amazing good fortune that brought us together and keeps us in an existence that stays almost perpetually blissful.

Fate has, for whatever reason, smiled on us, my love.

Ninety-Two, How Do You Do?

The ninety-second thing I love about us is tickle fights. They're never fair because you're not nearly as ticklish as I am, but I love love love having your hands all over me and both of us laughing and then at some point I can't even breathe anymore and you have to stop and let me catch my breath and then you kiss me a lot.

Some people might think that would just get predictable and boring, but I love it every time!

Thing Number Ninety-One

The ninety-first thing I love about us is imagining all the places we would go if we were the traveling sort, and then imagining how beautiful you would be in every single one of them.

Ninety is Fine-ty!

The ninetieth thing I love about us is, we are very accepting of each other's flaws. Probably it helps that you don't have very many flaws and most of my flaws are really cute ones!

Thing Number Eighty-Nine

The eighty-ninth thing I love about us is talking about nothing. When I can sit with you and realize that whatever we're saying is the most frivolous, pointless, unimportant topic anyone could ever address, the fact that I am still awash in joy reminds me just how perfect you are.

Another Elevensy Thing!

The eighty-eighth thing I love about us is, we totally prove how things can be very different and super-very the same all at once! I am so different from you in so many ways ... but also sometimes I look at you and I feel like you're me in a mirror.

Thing Number Eighty-Seven

The eighty-seventh thing I love about us is being right in the midst and seeing a tiny bead of sweat form and glide down your throat into the hollow between your collarbones before it falls loose to bless my skin with a tiny splash of you.

Eighty-Six!

The eighty-sixth thing I love about us is, neither of us is allergic to anything! No sneezing or getting itchy from stuff, or breaking out in hives or anything yucky like that. Plus no foods that we have to say, "nuh-uh," to from being allergic.

I feel bad for people who are allergic to stuff!

Thing Number Eighty-Five

The eighty-fifth thing I love about us is the click of these keys when either one of us is typing a post like this. In that sound, we are the same and yet distinct. We each have our own tempo, yet the timbre of each tapped tile matches with every touch of your finger or of mine.

Eighty-Four!

The eighty-fourth thing I love about us is how much we are like a fairytale! I mean, not like the ones where someone gets cooked in an oven or locked in a tower or anything like that. More like the fairytale romance endings where they all live happily ever after. Except not exactly like that because those are always the ending parts of the stories, and our story shouldn't ever have an ending.

I guess I just mean our story is dreamy and hopeful and happy, which is how the best parts of the best fairytales are!

Thing Number Eighty-Three

The eighty-third thing I love about us is leaving the bed messy. It's especially good when we're at breakfast, and one of our other girlfriends or our boyfriend says, "Hey, you guys left the bed really messy, you know," and then I get to say, "Who said we were done with it?"

Eighty-Two!

The eighty-second thing I love about us is, waking up in the morning and seeing that you're already awake and just watching me with that look in your beautiful eyes!

Thing Number Eighty-One

The eighty-first thing I love about us is waking to nothing but the faraway noises of morning and your soft breaths sounding peacefully beside me.

Eighty is Greaty!

The eighty-th thing I love about us is, neither one of us will take the last cookie from the cookie box if we know the other one wants it.

I guess I'm not as good about not taking the last piece of popcorn from the popcorn bowl without making sure you don't want it, but I swear that's just because by the time I get to the bottom of the bowl watching TV, it's way into the movie or show and I'm only paying attention to what's on and my fingers just keep putting popcorn in my mouth until it's gone.

(That's one of the reasons it's bestest if I'm all snuggly under a blanket and you just feed the popcorn to me. Then if you want the last piece of popcorn, it's totally up to you!)

Thing Number Seventy-Nine

The seventy-ninth thing I love about us is the feel of your breath on my skin when you rest your head on my shoulder too long and fall asleep.

It's Seventy-Eight!

The seventy-eighth thing I love about us is how we can be super serious even when we're being super silly.

If that makes any sense!

Thing Number Seventy-Seven

The seventy-seventh thing I love about us is drying you off after we shower together. Especially when the towel is big and fluffy and has that fresh-from-the-dryer fabric softener smell.

It's a good smell to go with the smell of your squeaky-clean body.

The Spirit of Seventy-Six!

The seventy-sixth thing I love about us is smelling your feet. Mmmm, good-smelling feet.

April Fool's!

Really, your feet don't smell much either way, good or bad. They're very pretty feet, but I'd have to sniff pretty hard to smell anything off of them, which probably would be weird or gross.

The real seventy-sixth thing I love about us is, even when I make lame goofy jokes you still smile at me for them!
