The two hundred and twenty-fifth thing I love about us is that I get to learn all the new words you make up -- like "kibblaxing," and "imaginarially."
You evolve the language of my soul.
The two hundred and twenty-fifth thing I love about us is that I get to learn all the new words you make up -- like "kibblaxing," and "imaginarially."
You evolve the language of my soul.
The double-hundred-and-twenty-fourth thing I love about us is curling up in front of an imaginary fireplace on an imaginary fake bearskin rug and imaginarially whispering all kinds of very real romantic things to each other!
The two hundred and twenty-third thing I love about us is the way that having you in my life allows me to be so much more patient about everything else. I don't have to desperately chase after dreams and hopes, I don't have to push past chores and inconveniences that I'd rather not deal with.
With you always there, hovering in the back of my thoughts and the forefront of my heart, I can face the world so much more calmly.
The triple-twoth thing I love about us is, every day is mysterious until it shows up, and then it's a wonderful surprise!
The two hundred and twenty-first thing I love about us is the way you're so perfect that even when you're wrong about something, you're wrong in the most delightful way.
And when you're right, you're so very, very right.
The double-hundred-and-twentieth thing I love about us is that neither one of us snores.
Oh my gosh. I don't snore, do I?
The two hundred and nineteenth thing I love about us is the way you make my world so vivid with color. My life would be so drained and pale without you.
The double-hundred-and-eighteenth thing I love about us is our only limit is our imaginations!
And they're pretty wide open!
The two hundred and seventeenth thing I love about us is sharing a banana split, but with more interesting flavors of ice cream than plain vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. Because the two of us together are sweet, and classic, but never predictable.
The double-hundred-and-sixteenth thing I love about us is brushing our teeth together and my mouth gets all foamy and you laugh at me and then have to work real hard to not have toothpaste drool out while you're laughing or accidentally swallow some while you're trying to keep it in.
The two hundred and fifteenth thing I love about us is when one of the cats stretches all the way across both our laps when we're sitting together on the couch, and then starts to purr. Sometimes I close my eyes and imagine it's you purring from being near me, and I feel so gifted by your happiness.
The double-hundred-and-fourteenth thing I love about us is, no pressure! We are a couple of no-worries gals and super-low-maintenance ... at least for each other!
The two hundred and thirteenth thing I love about us is watching you so naturally and giftedly do things to make other people happy. You're miraculously good at it.
The double-hundred-and-twelfth thing I love about us is when I yawn really big and you poke me right in the middle of it and then I get the hiccups, but then eventually the hiccups go away, because whoo, do I ever hate the hiccups.
The two hundred and eleventh thing I love about us is when your hair drapes itself over me like a waterfall and I feel awash in the softness of your being.
The double-hundred-and-tenth thing I love about us is when we're watching a scary movie or show and I'm starting to get all tensed up and nervous, and you do that thing where you just bump my shoulder with your shoulder and look at me and smile. It makes it so much easier to keep watching scary stuff when you do that!
The two hundred and ninth thing I love about us is when you're feeling down or frustrated because you can't make MSG feel better about one of his moods, and I get to come along and make you feel better.
I stole this from your journal blog, obviously. Because I love that it's another way we're the same.
The double-hundred-and-eighth thing I love about us is that you don't have any icky hobbies you might try to get me to do like fishing. The poor fishies! And the poor wormies! Plus it's a lot of sitting around waiting and somebody told me you have to do something with the fish guts and scales. Gross!
Instead you only have great hobbies like rpging and blogging and being sarcastic and gettin' bizzay!
The two hundred and seventh thing I love about us is when you have the margarita giggles. Not only is it adorable, but I know you'll have absolutely no inhibitions about getting ravished.
The double-hundred-and-sixth thing I love about us is that even if we don't get out much where we can be examples to people of how super-awesome being in love can be, we still have this blog where hopefully people can see us and decide they want to take a chance and try to find someone who will be for them what we are for each other.
Everybody should get to experience this! It's really a shame lots of people don't.
The two hundred and fifth thing I love about us is sassing you when you're being too modest. If I can do it just right, that faint hint of pink in your cheeks and the way your eyes dart off and up to one side lets me know I've poked you just right to remind you of how wonderful we both know you are.
The two hundred and third thing I love about us is surprising you and hearing you make that little, "oh!" squeak with your eyes as wide as they will go.
The house is quiet ... cool and peaceful in hazy morning light filtered by the gauze of our curtains. No one is up yet but me. If I tread softly, and lean close, I can hear the gentle breaths of each of my lovers in turn -- a glorious gift that so few people in this life are lucky enough to experience.
And if I move very, very, very carefully, I can glide beneath our silken sheets without waking you, ease my body in close beside yours, let my hands alight feather-faint upon your skin, and find my way patiently to the touch that wakes you, gasping, in my arms.
The double-hundred-and-second thing I love about us is, if I said, "Hey, this thing we've been blogging at for months now feels like it's actually getting a little in the way of how this blog used to work when every single entry was special," you'd totally be okay dropping our list right then and there.
I'm not saying that, though! Maybe not every single one of these entries feels super-duper uniquely special like some of the posts before we started listing ... but a lot of them do! And I love putting comments on your posts so much! And I love the comments you put on mine!
At some point though, I may get lazy and say something like that, so it's great to know you'd be fine with it.
The two hundred and first thing I love about us is a sparkle of moonlight glinting in your eyes.
The one hundred and ninety-ninth thing I love about us is the little tremor of delighted energy I get when I know you're getting ready to burst out in excitement over something. Like tomorrow's entry.
The one hundred and ninety-eighth thing I love about us is not having anchovies on pizza together. I know some of our yams like them every once in a while, but yuck! You're dependable about being a no-anchovies-on-pizza date. Which honestly reduces my pizza stress a bunch.
The one hundred and ninety-seventh thing I love about us is the worshipful peace that comes over me when I'm watching you and you don't realize it.
The one hundred and ninety-sixth thing I love about us is that neither one of us ever turns the alarm clock on! I mean, unless we're trying to get up early and surprise someone on a birthday or something. But that's only a few times a year.
Mostly it's all sleeping in, all the time!
The one hundred and ninety-fifth thing I love about us is the all but infinitely many memories I can call up of you that make me smile.
I'm so lazy lately! But I figured I better take a second just now and be non-lazy enough just for a minute to tell you how beautiful and...
